About Leslie
Leslie Keating, M.S., C.A.S.
Certified School Psychologist & Educational Consultant
Leslie Keating has spent more than two decades working inside schools, helping students, families, and educational teams make thoughtful academic decisions. As a Certified School Psychologist, her work has consistently focused on understanding students as individuals—how they learn, how they develop, and how they respond during periods of change.
Throughout her career, Leslie has conducted student assessments, supported executive functioning growth, led planning and placement teams, and partnered closely with families during times of academic transition. Her approach is practical and developmentally informed, drawing from developmental psychology, positive psychology, and structured reflection to help students build self-awareness, resilience, and adaptive thinking as they approach academic decisions and change.
Leslie’s work is informed by her training as a school psychologist, allowing her to look beyond grades and test scores. Leslie focuses not only on academic planning and executive functioning, but also on the behavioral and emotional patterns that influence motivation, resilience, and long-term success. This perspective helps students build the independence and self-management skills they need to thrive in college and beyond.
Leslie’s advising is also shaped by her personal experience as a parent. Supporting her own sons through competitive academic and athletic pathways—one who became a Division I basketball walk-on, and another who reclassed to pursue a different academic timeline and expanded multi-sport opportunities—has given her firsthand insight into questions of school fit, readiness, and the pressures families face when navigating high-stakes educational decisions.
Leslie holds a Master of Science and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Psychology from Fairfield University, a Bachelor of Science in Advertising with a minor in Psychology from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, and has completed doctoral-level study at Columbia University.
